Of course, one of the best parts about buying a home is the tax break you receive from the government. Contact the Internal Revenue Service directly at 1-800-TAX-FORM and ask for the following free publications or go to www.irs.gov which are designed to assist you in the sale of your home:

Make A 3-Ring Binder
File all closing and settlement papers in a 3-ring binder, including escrow papers, title report and your original purchase and sale agreement. Also be sure to include receipts for any home improvements you made while you owned the house in the event that you have to pay capital tax gains.
